[contact-form-7 404 "Not Found"]Double bedroom, en suite shower room, living room with pull-out bed and kitchen area, two large windows overlooking the Topsham quay and estuary.
This apartment is perfect for couples who want to be in the heart of Topsham. With the option to eating and drinking whilst being right next to the water. The views from the windows are some of the best of Topsham and the river Exe! If you love food and wine, there is nothing like Topsham!
The Estuary apartment is located over the main café so there may be some noise on our occasional events nights. Otherwise the Café Bar closes at 5pm.
Upper floors accessible by stairs only
The building, formerly The Steam Packet Inn, has been sensitively refurbished and comprises the Route 2 Café Bar and Apartments. The historic building is Topsham’s second oldest hostelry (the oldest is The Bridge Inn) and was originally called the Red Lion. In 1850 it was renamed the Steam Packet after the Zephyr steam packet that sailed every Saturday from Topsham to London, a journey that took three days, with stops in Cowes and Portsmouth.
At one time, the pub had its own brewhouse as well as two skittle alleys. The Steam Packet was closed by Heavitree Breweries in 2008.
